Residential Solar

Yes, grid-tied solar systems does work effectively in Vancouver, even with the region’s variable weather.

  1. Grid Inter Connection: A grid-tied solar system is connected to the BC Hydro grid, allowing you to use solar power while remaining connected to the grid.

  2. Self Generation: BC Hydro offers a net metering program that allows you to earn credits for the excess electricity your solar panels generate. These credits can offset your electricity costs when your solar production is low, such as during winter months.

  3. Design + Installation: Proper design and installation is crucial to having your solar array perform optimally. Custom designs involving BC Hydro consumption tailored to every project.

  4. Incentives and rebates: Current BC Hydro rebate of up to $10,000 and use of upto a $40,000 interest free loan from the federal government make solar very attractice.

  5. Low Maintenance: Solar systems generally require minimal maintenance after installation, making them a hassle-free option.

  6. Technological Advancements: With improvements in solar technology, systems are more efficient and affordable than ever.

Commercial Solar

Commercial solar is a rapidly growing industry in British Columbia, thanks to the province’s strong commitment to renewable energy and its abundant sunshine. With the help of government incentives and the falling cost of solar technology, more and more businesses in BC are turning to solar power to reduce their carbon footprint and save on energy costs.
